COLUMBUS Z REFLECT

Columbus Z REFLECT improves throughput by allowing reports sent to VTAM by the customer's application programs to be intercepted and either placed on the operating system spool, or distributed directly to Columbus OM report queues and/or Columbus Central for further distribution.

It reduces administration efforts as changes can be made to the print destination without making changes to the application. Columbus Z REFLECT also lowers business risk by bringing CICS output under the control of an output management system.

Users running Columbus Z can also benefit from its comprehensive print management facilities by distributing these reports from the operating spool to any VTAM or TCP/IP attached printer on the network.

All logical printers, spool characteristics, closure comparison criteria and authorized users are defined in a configuration file which is loaded at Columbus Z REFLECT start-up time.

The configuration can be modified at any time and updated dynamically by an authorized user.

Online displays enable authorized users to view and (optionally) modify printer and spool definition characteristics.

All displays can be configured as required.
